Every year nearly ten-thousand people gather in downtown Sayre for the annual 4th of July fireworks celebration! Behind the smiles and the laughter is a safety team hard at work! Residents and visitors of the Valley can rest in the safety of a carefully planned out incident Safety Plan.

Greater Valley EMS leaders meet with surrounding EMS/Fire agencies to prepare a mandated State of Pennsylvania Safety Plan in anticipation of injuries or incidents from a bee-sting to an MCI. In 2010, volunteers from Tioga Center Volunteer Fire Department/EMS and Chemung Volunteer FD joined the GVEMS Bike Team with EMTs and ATVs from their departments. In total, there were about 25 EMT's & Paramedics behind the scenes to ensure our safety.
