ANNUAL TOURNAMENT TO SUPPORT PUBLIC ACCESS DEFIBRILLATORS

Greater Valley EMS is a 911-response, non-profit EMS organization located in Sayre, PA. We serve the Valley Area to include Sayre, Athens, Waverly, VanEtten and the surrounding area. We have seen public access defibrillators save lives!

We began the Golf for Defibrillation Tournament in 2007 and raised enough money to purchase two public access defibrillators – one of which was used a year later to save a life!

Our fundraising tournament is designed to help purchase AEDs for local businesses or associations who are interested in providing public access defibrillators for their customers, employees or associates, and cannot purchase one on their own.

In addition to the AED, Greater Valley EMS provides FREE CPR training for up to ten employees at the recipient organization. Currently, there are about a dozen AEDs at businesses and organizations throughout the Valley.

The goal for the 2011 Golf for Defibrillation Tournament is to raise $10,000; enough to purchase eight AEDs for businesses and organizations around the Valley.
