In the air room we have a repair shop & a 4-stage Ingersoll-Rand Type 30 Compressor with an Eagle filtering system. The system is divided into two banks; a 2200 psi system for filling Scott air packs and a 5000 psi system for filling the new SCUBA tanks. The air is tested every 3 months to CGA type I GRADE E standard, and is supplied to local volunteer fire & rescue.
The air truck has been with Greater Valley since the 1960. We
updated it with a F250 chassis in 1994. It carries 8 G size bottles for filling Scott air packs & scuba tanks at the scene of emergencies. It also has a 6500 watt generator for lights, and the required coffee pot!
